PROFILE BY USE OF RACK & PINION
CUTTER
The apparatus consists of the process of cutting
of involutes gear tooth by
use of rack type cutter. It
consists of three polystyrene
discs A.B.C. having pitch circle dia. 450mm, 300 mm, 200 mm. A gear tooth profile with M = 1” can be traced out
on a piece of paper placed between
disc & cutter. An effect
of interface & under cutting on correct profile of gear tooth can be
studied from the profiles traced. Beard
size 3’ x 2/2’ approx.
