HYD-004      IMPACT OF JET APPARATUS                                       


a. High efficient G.M. Nozzle fitted to 25 mm pipe supply line with a
    control valve, enclosed in a structural housing with leak  proof
    transparent sides, a different lever with adjustable no load, screw
    mechanism & set of dead weights to measure the force. A side door

HYD-021      FREE & FORCED VORTEX FLOW APPARATUS.           

 

                        a.         A free vortex flow apparatus consists of a center bottom discharge  vessel of 60 Ltr. capacity jacket by outer vessel of  80 Ltr. capacity  perforated at the top. A centrifugal pump of 1.5 HP connected to main sump of 120 Ltr. capacity with drain provided.

                        b.         A forced  vortex flow apparatus consists of a glass vessel of 1.5  Ltr capacity with mangnet used as external forced body moved by   magnetic coupling.  The speed can be adjusted   by  a regulator.  The centrifugal head generated by forced vortex flow can be calculated.

 

HYD-022      APPLICATION OF MOMENTUM EQUATION.                            

                        a.         A propeller of 250 mm dia. driven by 2800 RPM. 3 HP (D.C.) motor hubbed in a circular pipe of 260 mm dia. for 2.5 m. length.

                        b.         A multi column   inclined tube manometer with engraved scale is
fitted on wooden board & has titting facility with digree of inclination scale. 

                        c.         Digital anemometer for velocity measurement.

                        d.         (D.C.) variable speed drive with control panel including, amperemeter, voltmeter, fuses & switches.

 

HYD-023      HAMMER BLOW / WATER HAMMER TEST RIG.            

 

                        a.         Water supply tank of  size 0.6m x 0.6m. x 0.1m. with diffusor inlet supply line gauge glass & a scale fittings over flow arrangement drain cock, supply line of 50 mm dia. & 6 m. length with coupling at  both end to connect the supply tank to the bottom valve & vertical pipe line, with control.

                                    The   apparatus   is   designed to illustrate the quantitative relationship   between   rates of flow & pressure difference. Power requirements of
the system can thus be established. M.S. water sump of 150 Ltr. capacity, water measuring tank of 85 Ltr. capacity & ½ HP pump set will be provided.

HYD-028      HYDRAULIC FLUME (Tilting Type)                                          

                        a.         M.S. hydraulic  flume of size 1.0 m ht x 0.6 broad x 25 m long   titiling type with transparent walls at the section for visual observation of  the flow pattern. Steadying arrangement with baffles 5 Nos. in the receiving chamber to streamline  the flow. The upstream & the downstream sections   are   provided with 2 Nos. of fine gates with rack (G.M). The slope of the flume ranges upto ± 1/50 to 2%. The flume is provided with following extra replacement accessories to conduct different type of experiment.

HYD-029      HYDRAULIC FLUME (Tilting Type).                               


(Perapes sheet walled ) Tilting Type.

                        a.         Hydraulic flume of  size 30 cm. wide, 40 cm. deep & 10 cm long
with transparent sides of thick perspe sheet plates for length of   6   m   on   both   sides  for  visual observation of flow pattern fixed nearly to M.S. angle frame section   rubber  packing, the inlet section is provided with flow. The upstream & the downstream section are provided with 2 Nos. of fine gates with rack (G.M). The slope of the flume ranges upto ± 1/50 to 2%.  The tilling arrangement is   operated by an electric motor drive for both forward & backward slope settings. The flume is provided with  following extra replacement accessories to conduct different type of experiments

HYD-030      CAVITATION TEST RIG                                                 

 

                        Cavitation teat  rig consists if a closed circuit system 2 cylindrical vessels of   size 0.5 m  & 0.6 m dia. 1.5 heights, made of M.S. sheets. The vessels are connected by 2 pipes lines of 2 ½ “ & 2” to another vessel. The vessels   are   placed  at 3 m. apart a centrifugal pump set connected in series with the bottom pipe line to move water. The top pipe line to move water. The pipe line includes a 2 ½ “ size transparent venturimeter for visualisation growth of the cavitation. Both the pressure gauges are mounted on the vessel. The teat ring includes 2½ “ x 2½” centrifugal pump & 5 HP motor with switch & starter. Two limb G. M. Manometer at throat & the atmospheric pressure. The differential  manometer at the inlet & at the throat.  The 2½ “ G.M. venturimeter (without mercury) to  measure the discharge &  to determine   the velocity. Various types of  probes to inlet the cavitation.

HYD - 043    COMPUTERISED CENTRIFUGAL PUMP TEST RIG.       


This unit consists of :

                        a.                     Centrifugal  pump of size 50 mm. x 65 mm. to develop 30 mtr.
            head, coupled to HP D.C. Motor.  The characteristics 
            being   studied at different speeds against different heads.

                        b.                     Variable speed arrangement by computer controlled D.C. drive for infinate variable speed.

                        c.                     Closed   circuit   tank   of   size 0.8 mtr. x 0.8 mtr x 1.5 mtr. on which pump set & mounting tank, both are mounted.

                        d.                     Measuring   Tank   of   size   0.5 m x 0.5 m x 0.8 m will be provided     with   level   transmitter  soleniod  valve,   both mounted.

                        e.                     Pressure Transmitter on the delivery side for measurement of pressure head developed by pump set.
