THD-010      CENTRIFUGAL BLOWER TEST RIG. (Backward Curved Vanes)

 
a. One Industrial & Centrifugal type Blower suitable for experiments.
    It consists of  impellers of backward curved vanes. The  approximate
    discharge of air is 500 CFM at 750 mm of water column.
b. Two U-Tube manometers 0.5 m. height at suction & delivery end with
    connecting plastic tubes to determine the pressure developed.
c. Two Nos. of pitot statics tubes mounted at the inlet duct & outlet duct,
    to determine the pressure at the inlet & outlet.
d. The   blower  is directly coupled to an Induction motor of 5 HP speed
    2880 RPM. Switch, Starter, Energy meter & Stop Clock will be
    provided.
e. Outlet pipe of 3 m. total length. A butterfly valve to control the
    discharge. Suitable stands to hold the pipe.

b. Two U-Tube manometers 0.5 m. height at suction & delivery end
    with  connecting plastic tubes to determine the pressure developed.

    to determine the pressure at the inlet & outlet.

    V DC. 2880 RPM. The approx. discharge of air is 12 CFM at a
    pressure of 10 Kg/Cm2. of water column.
b. Digital anemometer to measure the velocity of air by that discharge
    of air.
c. A   U-Tube   manometer  of 0.5 height with connecting plastic tubes to
   determine the total pressure developed.
d. 8 Amp. dimmerstat to regulate the speed of the fan. One energy
    meter, Voltmeter & Ampermeter to measure the input of power switch

d. CONDENSER :

The set up includes a surface condenser of 250 Kg/hr. capacity
with condensate extraction pump & a 3 HP monoblock pump. A collection tank of  50 Ltrs. with a piezometer is provided for measuring
the condensate.
e. CONTROL PANEL :

It   comprises   of   electrical loading rheostates, multi channel digital   temperature   indicator   with   channel selector switch thermocouples,   compensating   cables, starter for condenser extraction pump, starter for monoblock pump, digital voltmeter & ammeter.

THD-023      HIGH PRESSURE BOILER MODELS.                   

 
a. MODEL OF LOEFFTLER BOILER :

    This   is   a  high pressure boiler.  It consists of an economiser drum
    Radiant   super heater & circulating pump.  The model is mounted on
    sturdy wooden base.
b. MODEL OF BENSON BOILER

    This   is   a   typical   high   pressure   Boiler.  It is constructed to
    demonstrate   economiser,   Radiant   evaporator, Residual evaporator
    & initial super heater Ration super heater & convention super heater.
c. MODEL OF VELOX BOILER.         

    This is a typical high pressure boiler.  It is constructed so that to
    demonstrate   the economer feed pump steam separating section, water
    circulating pump, convection super heater.  It is also demonstrate the
    gas turbine & air compressor.
d. MODEL OF LAMOUNT BOILER
.
    This is typical high pressure boiler.  It is constructed so that to
    demonstrate   the   steam   &   water   circulate.   The flue gas circuits
    by   the   feed pump economiser, higher & the steam outlet.
  

THD-024      MODEL OF GAS TURBINE & GAS TURBINE PLANT.     

 
a. GAS TURBINE MODEL.

    The section cut model is constructed of light & strong metal showing
    air  intake axial flow double stage compressor.  Fuel supply,
    consumption   chamber,   turbine   rotor exhaust etc. complete on
    wooden base size 45 x 20 x 25 cm approx.
b. MODEL OF GAS TURBINE PLANT

    It consists of :
   1. Two stage gas turbine model.
   2. Two stage air compressor model.
  3. Inter cooler for two stage air compressor.
  4. Regenerator.
  5. Combustion chamber.
  6. Reheating chamber.

The all system is mounted on sturdy wooden base. The layout of the whole
system circuit diagram is printed on the wooden board.
